It is an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of SGRR Public School, Kotdwara, the school that stands for excellence and continuously sets the highest standards. The importance of education in the life of an individual cannot be exaggerated. It shapes individuals in their formative years and imbues them with values that would govern all their choices in life. It is said 'If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people'. Indeed, one can even say that the quality of education will determine the destiny of the nation.

Education does not mean providing answers. It means equipping the pupil with the means to find the answers for himself and within himself. Education empowers students to discover themselves – who they are as people. Within each student is a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a social activist, a sports person, an environmentalist, a poet, an author or an economist etc.. To live in the modern world, education is indispensable. Education does not begin with the alphabet & end in literacy. It is a life long process & as late Mrs. Indira Gandhi said "Education is not merely the accumulation of information but the discipline of S.G.R.R. PUBLIC SCHOOL, KOTDWARA mind that makes for a balanced, well adjusted person who is capable of meeting the challenges of life." By missionary zeal and commitment with himself to do something for the betterment of the society our Present Mahant Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj has improved the infrastructure of the school. Now, our school has a separate block for senior, junior and primary classes, it has newly constructed and fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Computer Science labs. Our school has been maintaining excellent track records in academic performance & it is a mater of pride for us to inform parents & well wishers that our results were outstanding in both AISSCE and AISSE examination. The highest marks were scored by Master Anubhav Nautiyal in science stream, in commerce stream Megha Chamoli scored highest. Anubhav Nautiyal added one more feather in his crown. He not only scored top position in the whole town but also excelled among all the schools of the mission. There are so many other students who scored above 90% like Kshitiz Kumar, Aman Baunthiyal, Atul Anurag etc.. In humanities Shubham Rawat and Himani Suyal scored the highest. th In class 10 Rahul Kumar, Neha Verma, Jyoti Negi, Anjali Naugain & Mansi Uniyal, scored 10 grade points. The school curriculum is multifaceted with greater emphasis on academics. In this regard we are extremely grateful to our present esteemed Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj who has been a source of inspiration & guiding force to us to meet out objectives in every respect. I hope and pray to the Almighty that our students keep on advancing by leaps and bounds and take our school to the 'ZENITH' and so will be the role of the teachers and other personalities associated with our schools.
